Shuoor--a message of hope!

Serai Naurang is a dusty town of Lakki Marwat, a backward Southern district of NWFP,Pakistan.
One sultry afternoon some friends were sitting in the staff-room of a private school of this town.
Most of them were teachers of the school but some friends were outsiders. They were sipping tea and chatting animatedly. The discussion turned to politics and then to the plight of the poor and apathy of our rulers.Various examples were cited.Heart-rending stories of some of the miserable wretches of the area were recounted.Tales of talents going down the drain were told. Some railed against the rulers. Some of them accused army of all this mess. Some dragged in foreign powers to be responsible for all our woes.
A weak and subdued voice asked that all this might be right. Our rulers, army and foreign powers might be responsible for our problems in some ways, but are not we responsible also in some way. What have we done? What will be our answer if our Creator asks us on the day of judgement about our contribution for the solution of these problems and the amelioration of woes we have been sucked into. Will God let us go away with the usual diatribe against the rulers.? Can,t we do some more than just crib about the problems? Let us do our bit. Let us take a little tiny step. At least we would be able to say to our Lord on the Day of Judgement that we did whatever was possible for us.
This made them think. Suggestions were made. At last they agreed to form a small organization with the name of Shuoor.Every friend offered that he will fork out a little out of his income for the organization. And thus a foundation of hope was laid! A faltering step was taken! Now every month the friends contribute a little out of their salaries and income and try to help out poor students and other needy persons of the area. The hope is expanding. It is a tiny effort.A small effort with no organizational trappings,no publicity,no office and no effort to inveigle government funds.Just an attempt to please God,to share His blessings with the less-privileged! A practical thanks-giving!Some other people are trying to replicate this example and hope in their villages.
May Allah help us extend this hope to maximum needy people . May our determination do not waver!

An analysis of Surah al-nisaa(4) verses:82—85

Verse:82:-Referring to the hypocrites, ambivalent attitude towards the prophethood of Muhammad(pbuh),Allah says that don’t they ponder over the Quran? This Quran is the greatest proof of The Prophet’s truthfulness. If the Quran was not a divine book, there would have been a lot of discrepancies in it.
Verse:83:-This verse refers to the machinations and rumour-mongering of the hypocrites.
Rumours, and especially during war times, can play havoc.Allahs says that these hypocrites spread every kind of news in order to create unrest. Instead of spreading the news wildly, they should have first informed the Prophet(pbuh) and other responsible persons of every happening and news. This spreading of rumours and creating unrest is the handiwork of devils, both among the jinns and humanbeings.Mosts of you might have indulged in this mischief and succumbed to the wiles of Satan but Allah had mercy upon you and saved you from the dangerous consequences.
Verse: 84:- The prophet is told to ignore hypocrites. If they don’t show any zeal about the war against the oppressors(see verses:71,72,75,77),the Prophet should focus his attention on the true believers and urge them to fight against the oppression and persecution of the disbelievers(kuffar).Your are not responsible about the attitude of the hypocrites(see also verse no.80). You are responsible only for yourself. Allah will ward off and break the might and pressure of the disbelievers . Allah is more powerful than them and will punish them severely.
Verse:85: The hypocrite tried to discourage Muslims, instill fear of the enemy in their hearts and dissuade them from taking part in the Jehad. For this purpose they spread rumours etc. Allah tells the Prophet and true Muslims that they should urge one another into fighting in the way of Allah. Anybody who calls to a good cause(here jihad),will have a part from the reward of the good acts he promoted and any body who calls to a bad cause will have share of it. Allah is watching everything and has the power to punish or reward the promoters of good acts and the promoters of bad acts.
